A letter from Liam's Mom, Katey Lawson A few years ago, I wrote about Liam as our Angel with a mission. In the four years since Liam's Foundation was established, Liam has proven not only to have a mission, but the drive and determination to lead us to exactly where we need to be. I am so proud to announce that Liam's Foundation is now working statewide on the Pennsylvania Pediatric Palliative and Hospice Care Task Force! The task force. It will be comprised of several hundred members including families, Health and Human Service Professionals, Community Network Professionals, and Government Professionals including, but not limited to, Legislators and State Agencies. I am thrilled to share that I have been appointed to be one of only five Co-Chairpersons on the Task Force. Among other responsibilities, I will represent the parents and families of the state of Pennsylvania. In this position, I will be actively involved in the Leadership Steering Team and will contribute to the final Executive Summary of the Task Force Report. Liam has indeed led us to where we need and want to be. With this appointment to the Task Force, our Foundation will be in a position to make positive and lasting improvements to the pediatric palliative and hospice care now scarcely available for the children in the state of Pennsylvania. I would like to thank each and every one of our supporters; without you, we could never have come so far. This is truly a dream come true for all of us at Liam's Foundation, but with Liam on our side, we aren't at all surprised. Peace and love, |
